Josie works as a Creative Arts Therapist, Counsellor, Facilitator and Trainer. She offers counsellors, therapists and social workers the opportunity to recharge, realise their creative potential and add new techniques to their toolkit in the unique setting of Baylys Beach.
Creative Arts Therapy (also known as Expressive Therapies) offers a multi modal approach using Visual Arts, Dramatherapy, Music, Creative Writing, Storytelling, Movement and Sandplay.
Josie has conducted training programs in Sandplay and Creative Arts Therapy in Australia, England and New Zealand since 1998.

Introduction to Sandplay
Friday 9th and Saturday 10th October 2020 Baylys Beach
A two day experiential workshop to introduce a variety of ways of working with objects/symbols and sand to include:
· Individual objects/symbols
· Directed and undirected Sandplay
· Combining other Creative Arts Therapy Mediums with Sandplay
Creative Ways to Explore Grief and Loss
Friday 7th and Saturday November 8th 2020 Baylys Beach
In this workshop we will utilise a range of modalities including: Visual art mediums, therapeutic story making, relaxation and music to explore ways of helping clients express grief and loss. This is a completely experiential workshop – an opportunity to work with these mediums yourself in a safe and supported environment where the work is focused on process not product. There will be plenty of time for discussion, group and individual work. All art materials are provided, bring along a journal to record your experiences.
Cost: $450 per person for each workshop which includes 2 nights’ accommodation, (Thursday/Friday) at the beach. Lunch and morning tea provided.
